Nigel Lough has been professionally shooting portraiture, food, still-life and lifestyle since 2000. During that time he has built up a broad client base consisting of many of Australia's leading magazine titles including: MasterChef Magazine, Sunday Times, Body & Soul, Vogue Living, GQ, WISH, Inside Out, Country Style, Smith Journal and Sunday Style, Delicious, Taste, Coles and Woolworths Fresh.

Although he was always creative, Nigel’s interest in photography was sparked in 1997, when as a high school graduate, he visited Broome in Western Australia. A local resident artist introduced Nigel to a film camera; he was immediately inspired to complete a college course specialising in photography; after which he gained employment assisting a number of high-profile Australian photographers.

Nigel then moved to New York where he lived and worked as a photographer’s assistant and freelance photographer, before returning to Sydney to accept an opportunity with News Corp. He has enjoyed a long and successful career with News Corp for over 12 years as Senior Photographer, whilst also maintaining his own successful freelance photography business. He is best known in the industry for being a studio lighting ‘master’ and for his collaborative, down-to-earth and hard working qualities.
